Ombré Brows can last on average 1-3 years.
A touch up is required around 5 weeks after the initial appointment.
Clients that choose a softer look, light colour shade or do not follow the aftercare instructions will require more frequent top up appointments.
Factors that will cause your semi-permanent brow tattoo to fade faster:
Sun exposure / Sun beds
Oily skin
Exfoliation / retinols / AHA’s / BHA’s and skin peels should be avoided on the brow area.
Medical conditions
Allure Brows recommends "Colour Boost" visits to maintain your results.
-
We recommended around 3.5 hours for the treatment however we would advise to be free from any commitments following your appointment, it is very important that this treatment is not rushed in any way in order to give you the best results.
-
As part of your pre advice sent on booking you will be asked not to consume alcohol 2 days prior to your appointment. After your treatment you must not get the brow area wet for 10 days avoiding sweating, exercise, swimming, use of spas. The brows may appear red immediately after and can feel a little tender for the rest of the day. Colour will be darkest immediately after the appointment, please be aware the brows may scab over within a week after treatment and it is advised to avoid sun exposure whilst healing. Please plan your appointment accordingly with any social events / holidays. Brows are fully healed with 2 sessions around 2-3 months from your first appointment.
-
Upon booking you will be sent a patch test and all consultation and medical forms will be sent by email to be completed prior to your visit. On arrival we will start with a consultation so you have a clear understanding of what the treatment involves and any concerns you have with your brows. The treatment will begin with a very detailed brow mapping designed to suit your face shape, this is kept as closely as we can to your natural brow hairs however please expect brows to be shaped and trimmed in line with this template. If you would usually have threading or waxing we would recommend this no later than 1 week before your appointment. If you do not, you may leave the brows naturally. We will then select a pigment best suited to your eyebrow colour, hair colour and skin tone. The treatment will begin with a thin outline and shading until the correct saturation is slowly built up. We would advise you to have seen pictures of previous clients and have a good understanding of what Ombre Brows is having done your research. If you find any questions you may have unanswered feel free to arrange a telephone call.

Pain threshold varies from person to person.
If you are someone who finds tweezing painful you may feel some discomfort.
During your menstrual cycle you may feel increased sensitivity.
Whilst some clients find this painless others experience discomfort, this is a cosmetic tattoo therefore please expect to feel some discomfort. The area will be tender after the treatment and can become irritated towards the end of the treatment.
-
A range of colors are available taking into consideration your skin colour, hair colour and eyebrow colour. It is important to be aware the initial colour will be 2-3 shades darker than when healed, so you must be open to being advised what colour is best suited to you.

You must arrive showing the brows with pencil how you would usually draw them, this gives a very good indication how thick or thin you are comfortable with and what shape you are used to before we start.
It is recommended to ensure your skin health is in a good condition. Ombre is most effective on skin which is not too oily and not too dry. Please gently exfoliate your skin 1-2 days before your treatment to remove excess dead skin cells and avoid fake tanning products within 1 week of your appointment.

You must avoid exercise on the day of your appointment.
It is essential you do NOT consume tea, coffee or caffeinated drinks on the day of your appointment, this includes energy drinks, decaf and green tea. Caffeine and all stimulants thin the blood and this will affect the overall outcome of your treatment.
1 week prior: If you regularly have brow threading or waxing please book this for no later than 1 week before your appointment. If you do not you may leave the brows naturally. Please be aware during the day brows will be shaped by tweezing only, so if there is an excessive amount of hair this may be uncomfortable for you. Do not take Vitamin E, B6, Omega 3, fish oils, Gingko Biloba, St. Johns Wort, evening Primrose unless medically necessary.

You may experience some minor swelling and redness on the day of treatment and mild tenderness, dry flaking skin and itchiness in the brow area for 1-4 days. This is normal and part of the healing process.
Immediately after treatment for the next 10 days you are required to not touch the area with your fingers other than when cleaning to prevent bacteria.
After your appointment for the duration of the day you must blot the area with a clean dry tissue to absorb any fluid which may appear.
The following day you are required to clean and cream the area morning and night. Wash your hands and take a damp cotton pad soaked in lukewarm water and press gently over the area, dry with a dry pad and apply a thin layer of the aftercare cream you are given. You must follow these instructions for 10 days morning and night.
For the next 10 days: keep your hair off your face where possible, if you have oily skin please blot the skin throughout the day with a clean dry tissue. You must not get the enhancement wet, therefore when washing your face take care to wash around the area, do not splash with water. If the enhancement does get wet please pat the area with a clean dry tissue.
Do not touch, scratch, rub, pick or peel as this can lead to scarring, allow the colour to flake away by itself.
Avoid makeup over the brow area, facials, sweating, vigorous exercise, sun tanning, sauna, jacuzzi, swimming until the area is completely healed post procedure.
Do not use anti-aging products that contain Lactic acids or Glycolic acids this will cause the pigment to fade.
Use a total sun block after the procedure area has healed to prevent future fading of pigment colour.
You may resume regular activities once you have completed the peeling phase.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in pigment colour loss.
Touch-up visits should be scheduled around 5 weeks post procedure. This is the correct time frame to complete the enhancement, canceling a top up appointment will result in an additional new session to be paid for, if we do not have availability within a certain time frame to reschedule you may be required to start this process again which will result in a full price treatment of £350.

Microblading is a technique created using a hand held blade to slice the skin implanting pigment to replicate hair strokes. This method is free hand so very difficult to assess the correct depth of implanting, this means pigment can retain unevenly often in a zebra strip effect.
Microblading can cause extreme trauma to the skin resulting in discolored pigment, and long term scars in the pattern of hair strokes. Once the skin is scarred a hair follicle cannot be produced therefore can result in less brow hair.
Ombre brows is a controlled technique using a micro pigmentation machine with programmed speeds and settings, this allows us to safely implant pigment. Ombre brows is not a hair stroke technique and instead works on shading the brows in a gradient effect with the lightest part being in the middle.
Microblading is not suitable for clients with oily skin and is not recommended for fair or fine brows as strokes can heal slightly thicker and may not blend with the natural brows. Please be aware each time a hair stroke is topped up this will become thicker and thicker and eventually will result in a powder / ombre brow.
Ombre brows are suitable for all skin types, however excessive oily or dry skin may need top up appointments more frequently.
We do not offer microblading services at Allure Brows.

If you have any previous brow tattoo you will have to send clear photos via Instagram or what’s app only. Brows must be free from any make up showing full face and a close up of each brow. This must be in good lighting near a window and will be clearer on the back camera not selfie camera if possible. The majority of pigment will need to be faded to create ombre brows so this will depend on the current brow shape, density and saturation of pigment.
